My online thrift shop - How?

Rewinding back to the 1990s when overalls were it, and tag sales were the only Saturday morning activity to be had. I distinctively remember my Gam and I shuffling through the treasures that our fellow neighbors were finished with.

Rewinding back to the 1990s when overalls were it, and tag sales were the only Saturday morning activity to be had. I distinctively remember my Gam and I shuffling through the treasures that our fellow neighbors were finished with. Often times we would leave a garage sale with nothing in our hands, while others, we found gadgets and goodies of plenty. Moving house to house, and yard to yard, we collected and chatted. When the tag sales were finished, our next stop were the local thrift shops. There, we only shopped the best deals and knew the importance of a dollar. Days like those are the ones I will always hold close. Fast Forwarding a bit to my early twenties, theater and film had became my life. When I wasn’t at some form of rehearsal, I was behind the scenes creating and collecting for our current production. Working with a budget and finding items that fit can be tricky. Luckily for me, my Gam has equipped me for these endeavors. Whether I found the perfect item as is, or it required a little altering, the show always went on. Skipping to my current chapter of life, I have an inventory that beautiful and overflowing. I have used these treasures sometimes only once, while others were reoccurring gems through out productions. It’s safe to say that having spent my entire life collecting beautiful and unique items, that I was born to run my very own thrift shop, and her name is Thrifted Boutique. -Shaynelle Francis Owner and Designer www.thriftedboutique.com
